Electronic Arts (EA) makers of the FIFA Football game franchise have announced that they would be adding a story mode to their next release the FIFA 17. The facility when released, would allow gamers to get personal with a player by developing the player’s career on and off the pitch.
The story mode named ‘the journey’ follows the story of a player called Alex Hunter. A trailer shown at EA’s press conference showed Hunter at home with his family, him being approached by a football agent and another scene where he clashed with another player.
This is a bold move from EA because a lot of people don’t even switch on the entrance scenes in games. However, the story mode seeks to appeal to the emotions of people and to make them feel more attached to the players by employing human interest.
There are other features being introduced too; Jürgen Klopp, Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Arsene Wenger would appear on the timeline, new attacking techniques have also been added in order to allow gamers score goals in more ways and the gadget would use EA frostbite game engine to achieve better graphic quality.
