Phone accessories: The little things that matter when we buy a phone

Quality is paying attention to details-simple. But some phone manufacturers seem to ignore this simple fact and have ended up shooting themselves in the leg countless times leading to their slow or non-existent progress in the market. How do I mean? Big companies like Apple, Samsung and Blackberry succeed at doing something; they take cognizance of every single detail and perfect every single accessory that they package with their phones and laptops. The results? People come to trust their brands more and are willing to spend money on their products, knowing that it is not just about the equipment but its attendant packaging and accessories.

Some manufacturers seem to think that just making a nice looking phone is enough but it isn’t. You have to make good chargers, good earphones, good cases, good USB cords etc. if you don’t do that, the end users would not simply come to trust your product. I had a reason to buy one middle-end android phone and I was well pleased with its specifications. The only place I was disappointed? It’s earphone; built with something that feels like plastic, one could mimic an ogene drumbeat from Eastern Nigeria by striking both sides of the earphones together. And what more? The thing hurts as hell when you stick it into your ears. I had to throw away the damn thing before I start spending money visiting an audiologist.

I thought that was all until I saw a USB cord that came with a phone unable to connect the same phone to a computer. I was flabbergasted to say the least. I don’t know who or what made these things, but they need to sack whoever vetted these decisions. Because I would never buy such a phone again and guess what? I would also discourage people from buying it. As a matter of fact, we would soon be name calling these OEMS on gadgets review; we cannot allow our important readers to make the mistake of buying such phones.

People need to understand that the little details matter in every facet of life. How do you expect me to trust your phones when I cannot trust your charger? Meanwhile, let me go back to battling with this earpiece that won’t fit into my ears…

Wow! This is an interesting article and come to think of it. Huawei and Infinix suppose to be on that list of nice packaging because they are so careful and neat. I use Huawei phone and I’m proud to say that my earpiece is still intact and working so perfect. Then for the Infinix, my bestie is using it and no complies from her at all and I also admire theirs also. Kudos to the brands. They are extremely superb.
